With the latest update comes a completely revised OCR, so that invoices can be read out even faster and even more precisely.
We have fundamentally revised our OCR functionality to support you even better in the fast processing of incoming invoices. With the new OCR, invoices are read 2-4 times faster. In addition, the captured data is more precise than before.
From now on, OCR can also be used in purchase requests that are in the status “Documents Needed”. This makes it less necessary to go to the “Edit” menu. Since information such as invoice number, invoice date etc. is filled in automatically, the request can be processed even faster.
If an invoice is read out via OCR, the vendor can be recognised in the future. If the vendor is already stored in finway, e.g. due to previous purchases, it is automatically selected directly due to OCR. If the vendor is not yet stored in finway, the information available on the invoice (e.g. address) is read out and pre-filled by finway for faster creation of the vendor.
